After a series of teaser pictures, Kia released today the first official pictures of its new Forte sedan. Spectra's successor's appearance is close to the Kia KOUP concept.
The Forte sedan is the first production model to carry Kia’s new corporate look, which includes some new design elements like the new corporate grille and striking side lines. The H-shapped grille is set to become a Kia trademark in the future.
Kia will introduce the Forte with two gasoline engines. When the car hits Korean showrooms in August, it will be available only with the new 1.6L four cylinder rated at 124hp. A more powerful 2.0L engine, will be available soon after the official launch.

You know, I really don't like to pick on Kia because hey, at least they're trying - but it seems like the vehicles they produce are just consistantly...unremarkable. The Kia Soul looks like a chubbier version of the Scion xD, and the Kia Forte looks like every other midsize sedan on the road.
I don't think I can ever recall a time when I heard somebody say, "Man, I can't wait until that new car from Kia comes out!" I mean, I almost feel like the American automobile market needs to take Kia aside and gently explain to them that, "things just aren't working out between us."

Regardless of how it may look, it is still a Kia. And KIA stands for one thing - Killed In Action. They have yet to produce a car that I would actually pay for. They would have to pay me to drive their crappy cars. I would much rather drive a Hyundai than any KIA. Hyundai's are now one of the best built cars you can get with CSI's that rival Toyota, Honda and even Volvo.
That is such a cool looking car. It'll cost a bundle though.
I am sure this will attract lot of eyeballs.
The ultimate high-performance car! It has very nice features. High power, it is my dreamed car.
