Spy Shots: Hyundai Genesis Sedan

Some unmasked photos of Hyundai's RWD Genesis Sedan hit the web. And what you see is a cross between a Lexus LS and a BMW 5-Series sedan.

The front end looks very similar to the most expensive Lexus,
with a similar set of headlights, a spot-on grille, and similar bright
work. Out back, it appears that Hyundai took a pass on the classic Lexus C-pillar and used BMW 5-Series taillights too.
The big difference between the Genesis sedan and the vehicles it borrows from is that Hyundai's RWD V8 sedan priced in the $30,000 range.

Detroit 2008 Preview: Kia To Name New SUV Borrego

Kia named its newproduction body-on-frame SUV Borrego, which born from the 2005 Mesa concept. The car will be offered with V6 or V8 power. Borrego's grill looks similar to the one on Subaru Tribeca.

The name of Borrego comes from the Anza- Borrego Desert State Park in California. Unfortunately for Kia, in Spanish, "borrego" roughly translates to "lamb" or "sheep". So its name doesn't help to conjure up a tough image for a new SUV.

The car will be unveiled in January at Detroit.

Officially Unveiled: Cadillac Escalade Hybrid

Cadillac released the full info and tech specs on the 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid. The Cadillac Escalade Hybrid uses the exact same 2-Mode hybrid powertrain as both the Yukon and Tahoe hybrids. Unlike its platform cousins, however, the Escalade does not incorporate any weight-saving measures.
According to GM, the use of the hybrid system increases fuel economy by at least 50% anyway. If you figure that the standard 6.2L Escalade is good for 9 or 10 real-world MPG combined, it should be good for at least 18 mpg or so on the highway. If the Escalade really can actually get mileage, it's very impressive.
The car can be on the floor in Miami this week.
